Best Places To Advertise Your Business Online

Are you a small business owner who feels just wasting your dollars to advertise?
Do you want to know where actually the best places to advertise your small business online?

If you are nodding your head while reading these questions, it’s a sign that you should read this article until the end. Keep calm, this article will tell you the best places to advertise your small business online.

You can use all of these places for best results, or choose some of the best places most suitable for you. However, if you don’t have much budget for this, you can choose the best of the best place as you wish. There is no fixed rule here!

So, let’s get started..
Here the 6 best place to advertise your small business online. Some places that can take your small business towards success for sure.

Place #1: Google Adwords

Google Adwords is a great-grandfather of online advertising. Google has a very broad market covers all over the world. For this reason, Google Adwords become the largest platform for Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing.

If you advertise using Adwords, your ads will be created in the form of images and text that targets the specific people for specific keywords.

You know, when you use Adwords, you will bid on keywords in an auction-type market. If you win the auction, your ads will appear when those keywords are typed in the Google search box.

That way, your ads display will appear in very specific ways to the targeted audiences. It makes every dollar you spend on advertising is very efficient.

If you are a beginner, set up a campaign in Adwords can be very complicated. If you experience such problems, Google facilitates small business owners to easily set up a campaign using Google Adwords Express.

Place #2: Microsoft Ad Center

Since this also uses a search engine like Google Adwords, there is no significant difference between Google Adwords and Microsoft Ad Center.

The difference is that Microsoft Ad Center uses Bing search engine to put your ads on search engine results.

As you know, Bing has smaller audiences than the Google search engine. However, this is the advantage that you can take. Yes, bid on keywords can be much cheaper than Adwords!

You can save a little bit dollars that could be used on something more useful, or you can use it for advertise your business even further.

Place #3: Facebook Advertising

Advertise Your Business OnlineFor small business owners, advertise on Facebook is a gold mine that would be a pity if it missed. The way it works is that you pay only when someone clicks your ad. It was very similar to other PPC advertising.

Even though no one clicks your ad, you can still get the benefits by letting your ad seen by many Facebook users. It will make your business better known online and you get it all for free.

Place #4: Twitter Advertising

Advertising on Twitter is also a worthy thing to be done for small business owners. No doubt, Twitter can grow your business. There are many success stories that tell about it.

There are two things that can be done by advertisers:

  1. Advertisers can buy promoted trends (you can see a list labeled “trending” with hashtag on Twitter, advertisers pay for it so Twitter makes it like that).
  2. Advertisers can buy promoted tweets (highlighted individual tweets).

One interesting thing about promoted tweets is the advertiser only pay when the tweets get retweeted or clicked by other users.

However, these types of advertising have not quite affordable prices for some small business owners.

Therefore, Twitter has recently launched a small business advertising program that has a price that is more affordable for small business owners to advertise on Twitter. It’s a nice thing to hear, isn’t it?

A man who stops advertising to save money is the man who stops his clock to save time.

[Click To Tweet This!]

Place #5: LinkedIn Ads

LinkedIn has a very broad businesses and professional networking. One of the advantages of advertising on LinkedIn is your ads will reach very specific people.

Of course this will make your business gain exposure to the right people.

One of the disadvantages of advertising on LinkedIn is the cost quite expensive when compared to the cost of the platform that listed here.

So, I would recommend you to use LinkedIn Ads if you offer professional services that target high-value B2B clients.

Place #6: StumbleUpon Paid Discovery

Grow Your Business Online

StumbleUpon is a social media site that allows you discover new websites you’ve never found before. Although it’s not as famous as Facebook or Twitter, StumbleUpon can provide many benefits for your business website.

Apart from being a place to advertise your small business online, you can also use StumbleUpon to increase your website traffic as well.

If you want to use StumbleUpon as a place to advertise your business, then you can use an advertising platform called Paid Discovery.

This platform requires you paying between 0.05 cents to 0.25 cents for each stumbles that occurred on your site.

You can start using this advertising platform easily. You simply create your profile, choose your interests, and you can immediately start stumbling.

Your website will appear in accordance with the interests that have been previously selected.

Tips for you: It would be better if you use StumbleUpon to promote products or services that have general appeal. If your product has a specific appeal, Facebook Advertising or PPC is the right choice for it.

Note for you: Some of the above programs usually have free credit or discounts for new advertisers. Just in case, if you don’t find anything like that on their website, you can search online to see if there are any codes or anything that you can use.

If you still don’t find it, here the ultimate way – contact them directly and ask if they can provide one for you.

Due to fierce competition, they would appreciate and give credit to you because you have chosen their program. What’s more, you have to save dollars as much as you can, don’t you?

Additional Way To Advertise Your Small Business Online

Private Advertising

This method is easy because it doesn’t require a lot of time and money. How it works is you advertise on blogs that have a lot of audiences.

In simple terms you simply contact the bloggers which have a good blog related to your niche and ask if they provide services to advertise on their blogs.

If so, you can continue to discuss about the price and other things deemed important.

If you are lucky, you can get a good offer from blogs with high traffic and they don’t charge too much for it. Surely there will be bloggers out there who use their blog to help promote your business even with cheap price.

Doing business without advertising like winking at a girl in the dark.
You know what you are doing, but nobody else does.

Your business website is an important marketing tool to promote your business. Optimize your business website is an important factor for your business success.

But as you know, optimizing websites usually takes a long time. It takes hard work, patience and persistence in order to gain high rankings in search engines.

So, the simple advice that I can give to you is put your efforts to optimize your website as a long-term plan and paid advertising as your short-term plan. All of these lead to one goal – achieve your business success!

What have you done to advertise your business?
Do you have your own favorite places to advertise your small business online?

    Hi Nanda,

Thanks for sharing this, and I’m glad someone is having success on some of these networks. I can definitely vouch for StumbleUpon, and Facebook can lead to great results if used correctly. I think LinkedIn adds are very overrated…participating in group discussions is great. I would recommend using Reddit, as it is also a great place to find new clients and readers.

Sorry for my tardiness for commenting. This is a great way to advertise. I currently use Facebook advertising, and with some effective training and putting things into action, it has increased my conversion rate.

Now that I’ve gotten comfortable with this, I’m on to Twitter advertising. I think it is important to learn the many ways of marketing we can do. Then choose one that “fits” with a target audience and go for it.

  • Hey Nanda,

Great post on the different places where businesses can advertise online. I’ve used Google Adwords but didn’t have any good luck with it. I used Facebook advertisement and had some minor success with it. I used mainly Facebook PPC as well as some others. I’ve had the most success with using solo ads though. It was more cost effective than Facebook PPC and I received more leads within a shorter amount of time.

So every one of these are “paid” options. Some small businesses don’t have the funds to shell out for advertising on such platforms as Google Adwords. That can get pretty expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing. Would have been great if you added some free options to this list as well, otherwise, it’s a great list for businesses who have the funds to pay for their ads.
