#1. Switching to Responsive Web/Blog Templates

SEO Techniques 2014Responsive template is a template that can automatically adjust the size or size platform and screen size laptop, notebook, smartphone, and other gadgets.

  • Hi Nanda,

Those are indeed some nice SEO techniques we can all use for this year πŸ™‚

Yes, I switched to a responsive theme as soon as I could afford it last year too, so that’s working well for me, but some people say the mobile one is better.

I would like to add that although SEO isn’t dead as per Matt Cutt’s latest updates – it is still best to use it in variation and not use your exact keyword as what was earlier the norm. I agree with you about Google not being the only search engines. More so, why only write for the search engines – write more for people. Reach out and connect with them, build on those relationships and have a strong social media presence – all of this counts nowadays. πŸ™‚

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead πŸ™‚

    • Hi Harleena,

I’m glad you change your template with the responsive one. πŸ™‚

Yes, apply SEO using keywords is not a problem as long as the use of keywords is not too much. I totally agree with you. The purpose of blogging, of course, in order our posts read by people, not by the search engine. Why must use keywords that will make your blog overcrowded, while people do not want to read stuff like that. That’s my personal opinion. πŸ˜‰

Write more for people, I love this quote.
I think, this is the real purpose why Hummingbird created πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us, Harleena.
Hoping you have a nice week ahead and keep coming πŸ™‚

  • What about in depth and quality article ??

  • Hi Nanda,

That was a concise list that shared some very valuable tips. A sweet short read, I must say. I enjoyed reading it.

Talking about the tips you shared,I wholeheartedly agree with the mobile responsiveness part. I mean, mobile web is the future. These days, its use is seeing a rise. So, not using a responsive design is like ignoring a large chunk of audience. Further, Google also values sites and blogs that are mobile optimized! No doubt about that.

One more thing I found interesting is the case of broken links. Apparently, today itself, I happened to scan the broken links on my blog. And I happened to find 17 of them! Not all were broken ones, some were reacting slowly. Need to work on broken links, I guess!
