PostHeaderIcon iPhone: Tips To Help You Navigate It

iPhone 5
Do you think using the iPhone is difficult and makes you intimidated? You need not fear that you won’t be up to the challenge. The following tips will show you how to quickly learn to use an iPhone.

Has your iPhone stopped responding and become frozen? If nothing happens when you push the Sleep or the Home buttons, then hold down your Home button for a full six seconds. This will close any apps that are locked. If it is still unresponsive, simultaneously hold down Home and Sleep for 10-15 seconds. The Apple logo will flash on the screen as the phone resets.

For personal communication on your iPhone, take advantage of FaceTime. You get to look directly at the person with whom you are having the conversation. If you want to use this, just go to your contact section and search for the button that says FaceTime. Once you find the button, press it to both hear and see who you are communicating with.

You can choose to hide your caller ID whenever you want to avoid showing it to someone that you call. First, access the Settings screen and select the Phone button. Next, tap the Show Caller ID button; it should now be disabled. That area also has your phone number stored in it just in case you forget your own number.

Avoid direct sunlight. If you leave your iPhone out in the sun for hours, you might ruin it for good. Harsh, direct sunlight can do serious damage to your phone.

There are several alternative ways that you can move through your list of contacts. Simply hold a finger on the list of names in your contacts. Then, you just slide up and down. You will have more control over the list, which is especially helpful if you have a large number of contacts.

Do you want to add accents or umlauts to your message? Here is how to find them. Touch the letter you want to change, and hold it for a bit. Expect a box to open, containing added options. This will allow you to type with fancier letters and you are sure to find what you are looking for.

Use social media to keep up with your friends from your iPhone. The iPhone lets you instantly update your life and friends on any of the major social networks like Facebook or Twitter. You’ll have all the latest information at your fingertips.

If you use Find My iPhone, you never need to fear losing your iPhone again. Of course, you must download the app and sign up first. This app will send out a message or ring so that you can find where it is quicker. You can also lock or delete any data if you are afraid your phone may have been stolen.

You can create a unique library of shortcuts and meanings with your device. Your phone will automatically know what you’re going to type next. You can program the iPhone for a variety of different shortcuts and phrases. When typing, your keyboard will autocorrect.

If you want to mark an email as unread in your iPhone, you need to find the command, as it is not visible. Go to Details, then select the Unread feature. When you come back to your inbox, the e-mail will show up as unread.

Now that you’ve read the article above, you should be more comfortable purchasing and using your iPhone. If you haven’t bought one yet, maybe now is the time. Apply what you’ve learned here, and you will not only master your new phone, but you probably won’t be able to put it down for quite a while.
